Up at 7:00 in Harbor Springs, Michigan.  Went up town for my hair dressers appointment.  Em went to the coffee shop and got us breakfast.

An older woman, about my age, ran the place and her husband was there also.  It seems that he has worked for Walstroms Marine where we have our boat for about 40 years.  He had quite a conversation with Em.

After my appointment, we went to Main Street to the Farmers Market, then back to the boat where we got down the bikes for the first time since we left Wickford.  We were told that they had a great bike trail around the bay.  Off we went, forgot to take any water with us and we needed air in the trailer tires.  We went to the bike shop first and got air then off to the bike trail.  Did I mention that we have not been on a bike for about 30 years.  We made it for about 3 or 4 miles before I said I had enough and turned around.  I tried not to use my battery on the way out, because I wanted to get the exercise, but on the way back, I left Em in the dust.  I was afraid if I stopped, I would never get back on again.

We came back to the boat and had a two hour nap.  Had supper and then walked up town and had the most wonderful home made ice cream at Velvets.

I just want to take this opportunity to tell you all that Harbor Spring, Michigan is a great town.  It has a beautiful down town area with the most magnificent flower arrangements all along the streets.  It reminds me of Meredith but on a grander scale.  If any of you are planning to come to Michigan in the future it is a must see.  It also has a great waterfront with about three marinas.

Em and I plan to start off early tomorrow and see how far we can get on the bike trail before giving out.  I will let you know how we make out.

Bev was not clear in that She Rides an Electric Powered Bike not requiring much if any pedaling.
