A local lake fishing boat. It is covered so they can fish in winter. Doesn't that look like a fun profession?

Started out with frazzled nerves today.  Backed out of the slip, made it down the freeway straight into the opposite side of the channel & grounded.  Of course that required a tow call to the marina.  What a way to start the second leg of out adventure.

We departed about 10:30 A & surprised ourselves making it to Leland, MI about 45 KM by 5:10 P & what a pretty little town.  Had smelt appetizer & light meal but to much.  We walked the town then we walked the town then we walked the town & some more (Said it was a small town but we needed the exercise.)  Took a couple shots of the local fishing boats.  They are fully enclosed because they fish in cold winter weather.  Also got a shot of 2 otters playing on the dock right beside our boat.  That is the first wildlife we’ve seen so far not counting 1 deer we saw on the way back to Michigan by car.

The nerves are calming down.  Bev made a great landing at the dock tonight so all is well.  Off to Frankfort, MI tomorrow.

I have my Michigan map out to follow you – all-in-all, it looks like you had a good day and went a lot further than you had planned (Charlevoix) – good for you!
This is a good diversion for me…

    Love,
    Ginny
