Up @ 6:30 A & had delicious breakfast of ham/egg/spinach/holandaze, – YUM.  As we were  finishing a sailboat call the lock to ask for a lock down so we decided to join them rather than wait for the rest of the group.  “In My Element” decided to join us & off we went.  We had trouble in the lock while moving up to the lock side for the bollard.  The hyacinth plugged our bow thruster & caused us serious concern.  After locking out we slowed & cleared the darn things from our rudder, prop & luckily our bow thruster.  We arrived at Pirates marina Cove @ noon, got settled & lowered our dinghy to add air to overcome the cold weather deflation.  Bob & Debbie Smith  called on the VHF to let everyone know there was a stern wheeler “Snag Boat: at the lock entrance and an information center styled like an old Greek Revival anti-bellum home.  We jumped in the dinghy & ran over to check them out & they were very neat.  Got some good pix.  On our way back a doe & yearling fawn were swimming across the channel & we got a pix of that too.  Now @ 4:00 P the sun is out & it’s about 72 degrees, a beautiful day in paradise.
